Welcome to the website for Hexham Abbey Festival Chorus. This is mainly aimed at those who are currently singing with us to provide all you need to know about rehearsal dates and venues, subscriptions and even online practice tracks. In 2026 we start on Thursday, 14th May at 7:30pm in Corbridge Middle School.
I would arrive a little sooner than 7:30pm though to pick up your music, find a seat and catch up with some friends.
Please look at all the pages provided, particularly about parking round the back of the school.
Voice Tests: Hexham Abbey Festival Chorus has been an auditioned choir for many years but, at the moment, all that is required is a short voice test. These are only required for anyone who has not had one, or an audition, for HAFC before. There is no need to prepare anything beforehand.
Editions: copies will be available to hire or you might prefer to purchase your own.
Beethoven Mass in C - New Novello edition
Beethoven Choral Fantasy - printed specially for Festival Chorus 2026. You will be asked to buy these and they will be yours to keep afterwards.
AGM: This will take place during the rehearsal on the 4th June.
